My family by my mother is from Riva del Garda and my GrandPa who studied engineering in Bologna, right after the end of the 1st world war fulfilled his desire to have an hunting lodge on Ledro Lake, just few miles from Riva. That’s why “La Dianella”. Diana is goddess of hunting.
His project, only partially concretized, was finished in 1923. His idea was to build a four towers side structure that allows a full overview on lake and mountains.
The four towers project was never completed.
Fortunately Villa Dianella did not suffer any damage during 2nd world war, in spite of being a german sighting head quarter for such a long time.
It has been always a family property and we try everytime to improve and upgrade its comfort, trying to adapt to modern needs.
